Jovy is a professional auto detailer who has attended numerous seminars about ways and techniques on the proper way of cleaning different parts of a vehicle. He is one of the most senior auto detailers in Petron Station in Carmona, Cavite.
His 16 years of detailing experience has made him appreciate today’s modern detailing equipment. He has seen how tools and vehicles have evolved, too. In his early years in the automotive detailing, they used improvised tools. For instance, they used to put a thin rug on the flat screwdriver to avoid scratching the sidings when they have to detach it from the door. Today, they have a tool that’s precisely for removing sidings. Buffers, vacuum equipment, and compressors today are much durable and offer a multitude of functions.
When it comes to interior detailing, Jovy is arguably the best in the lot. The human dirt buster can detail a sedan’s interior in just 6 hours! There are some cars that are hard to figure, though. That’s why his manager makes him attend various detailing seminars to keep him up to date with the latest trends in the automotive and automotive detailing industry.
Jovy considers upscale branded late model cars as welcome challenge. And because of constant challenge, he doesn’t get sick and tired of what he is doing even if he has been in the business for 16 years. He was quick to point that there’s always something to look forward to.
