The
body continuously sheds dead skin and in some
people the outer layer of dead skin form scurf or
thin dry scales. It has nothing to do with diet,
however it may cause thinning of hair and may be
stress-related.
Symptoms:
1.
White thin scales which fall on the collars
and shoulders.
2. Itching.
Causes:

Seborrheic dermatitis - a red itchy rash
which causes the scalp to shed excessively.
Unknown cause.
2.
Pityrosporum - fungus which normally
thrives on oily areas of the skin.
3.
Abnormal shedding of dead skin from the
scalp.
Remedies:
1.
Regular use of antidandruff shampoo with
fungicides.
2.
To prevent infection, avoid scratching an
itchy scalp.
3.
Consult a doctor if there is no
improvement.
