FAINTING

Temporary loss of consciousness is due to lack of blood supply in the brain. This is brought about by severe pain, hunger, shock, stress, breathing stuffy air, exhaustion, etc.

1.  If you feel faint, sit down and place your head in between your knees.

2.  You may also lie down and raise your feet above chest level.

3.  Loosen tight clothing on a person who fainted.

4.      Elevate his feet above chest level and wait for him to regain consciousness.

5.      Give the person smelling salts.

6.      Call the doctor if the person fails to recover in a few minutes.
