FOREIGN BODIES IN THE EAR

Same with the nose, children may put objects inside their ears. Sometimes insects may crawl or fly and get stuck inside. Most common is the cotton. It gets stuck while we clean our ears.

1.   Ask the patient to sit down and have him tilt the affected ear down to let the insect falls out.

2.   If this fails, seek medical attention.

3.   Do not try to remove the object yourself for you may push it in further and cause damage to the ear.
