FRACTURE AND DISLOCATION PART II

Before medical help arrives and you have to move the victim, you have to immobilize the broken part.

1.   Place 2 straight sticks on each side of the broken part.

2.   Put any soft material in between the injured part and the stick.

3.  Tie the sticks above and below the injured part. Do not tie tightly for this may cut circulation.

4.  If the victim goes into shock due to loss of blood or severe pain, apply the appropriate measures.

5.  If the skin is not broken and the patient goes into shock, there may be internal bleeding.

6.  Call for medical help immediately.
