WEIGHT LOSS THROUGH MACROBIOTICS DIET AND BROWN RICE TEA

Most natural food diets impose an "I can't eat this" mentality among its followers. But with macrobiotics, individuals wanting to lose weight now feel empowered with an "I choose to eat this" mentality of eating quality food complemented by drinking health beverages such as brown rice tea.

The macrobiotics diet has become a way of life for thousands of people who want to keep in shape and feel good, including famous celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna, Barbra Streisand, John Travolta, Nicole Kidman and Yoko Ono. Its dietary regimen involves eating a staple of whole grains supplemented with vegetables, beans, and other non-highly processed or refined food.

Grounded in traditional Eastern and Western principles, macrobiotics aims to provide a long, great life by harnessing the positive expansive energy (yin) and contractive energy (yang) found in whole foods like brown rice. By following such a balanced diet, practitioners eventually attain their ideal weight and optimal physical health.

According to a published material in Shape magazine: "High fiber diets seem more effective for weight loss than low fat diets. A review of published studies shows that people on a diet that is both low in fat and high in fiber lose three times as much weight as those on a low fat diet alone."

The article further explained that because fiber can make a person feel full, he tends to eat less. Also, foods that are high in fiber-such as beans, vegetables and fruits-are usually low in calories, so a person can eat a greater volume of food without gaining as much weight.

There are food supplements specially formulated for adherents of macrobiotics like Highlanders Brown Rice Tea that boasts of using an ancient traditional recipe from Tibet that includes unpolished brown rice, dang shen (a ginger-like vine) and licorice herb.
