Baguio
City, the City of Pines lies in
the south central part of the
province.
Characterized by a rugged
and slanting landscape, strewn
with hot springs and rivers that
tapped into many valleys.
Due to the region’s pleasant
environment, Benguet’s primary
agricultural activity is
vegetation production. Recognized as the “Salad Bowl of the Philippines”, their
major crops are white potatoes,
baguio beans, peas, strawberries,
cabbage, lettuce and carrots.
Aside from these, the
province is a major source of
metallic materials and housed one
of the largest mining compliance
that haul out gold, copper and
silver.
Some tourist spots that you should not miss are the Burnham Park where
you could try boating or simply
go picnic with your friends and
family. Mines View Park for
sightseeing and pasalubong.
Horse Back Riding, Camp John Hay
and the Strawberry Farm.

The province can be accessed thru five national roads.
The National Highway,
Naguilian Road and Kennon Road
are the main routes coming from
Manila, while the Benguet_Nueva
Vizcaya Road and Halsema Highway
offers entrée to the province of
Nueva Vizcaya and Mountain
Province.
They can also be reached
by air by Loakan or Mankayan
airports.
