Lingayen Gulf was the landing
area for both the Japanese
invasion forces and the American
liberators during World War II
and many memorials have been
erected in memory of these
important historical events.

War Memorial and the park and
marker at Bonuan Blue Beach.

are the Church of St. James
Fortress, Bolinao, with its
wooden statue and antique altar,
and Old St. John’s Cathedral,
Dagupan, the site of a Spanish
surrender during the Philippine
