Puerto Del Sol

Summer heat is really getting in to our nerves. Let us give ourselves a break from our work or school. Let us pack-up our goggles, bikinis, bathing suits, swimming trunks and board shorts and let’s go to an out of town trip with our relatives and friends! Summer is the time to relax and unwind. We should not be contented with the air-cons inside shopping malls – we can visit a mall at anytime of the year.

The best place to spend summer is on a beach. Beaches are one of the reasons why our country rakes in a lot of money during the summer.

Global Pinoy recommends you to visit Puerto del Sol, a haven located at Bolinao, Pangasinan. It is just a six hour drive or around 250 kilometers away from Manila . The journey to the place offers breathtaking views of farmlands, mountains and trees that make the road look like a virtual tunnel. Six or seven hours wouldn’t be that long if you are in the company of your loved ones.

Land travel gives us an opportunity to communicate with the people inside and outside the vehicle. It is also our chance to get a glimpse of the culture and tradition of different barrios, provinces and regions that we will pass through in our journey to a particular place.

Puerto del Sol’s sand is as smooth as powder. Its sea bed is not as fine as Boracay but is a notch better than the rocky sea bed of most beaches in Batangas. While you’re there, you can visit a number of places; there is a cave and a light house that’s just a few minutes away. The cave, surrounded by salt water, exhibits a rich deposit of stalactites and stalagmites.

The resort offers rooms of different lay-outs, styles and sizes. It has a total of 22 rooms, two Jacuzzis and a chapel. It serves breakfast, lunch, merienda and dinner.
