VIGAN

Vigan is the only surviving colonial town in the Philippines. Famous for its cobblestone streets and a unique architectural blend of Asian, European and Latin American influences. The capital of the province of Ilocos Sur, its idyllic scenery of old houses, calesas and friendly faces make it a prime example of the old Philippines.

There are lots to see around the town and the place is replete with historical landmarks and locations. The mestizo district, where more than a hundred ancestral houses line side by side along narrow streets, presents a glorious glimpse of its colonial birth. St. Paul.s Metropolitan Cathedral, Plaza Salcedo and Plaza Burgos are also a draw for the typical tourist with its majestic designs and historical significance in the area.
