Aurora is the northernmost province of Region IV or the Southern Tagalog region. Bounded by Isabela on the north, Quezon on the south, by Quirino, Nueva Viscaya, and Nueva Ecija on the west and facing the Pacific Ocean on the east (which is why the place is frequently visited by typhoons).

Despite the mountainous land features of Aurora, it also has its own share of natural attractions. Among these are the beautiful beaches of Sabang, Borlongan, Digisit and Ampere, which are ideal for adventure recreations like surfing, snorkeling and diving.

Nature lovers will enjoy the fabulous view of the verdant Sierra Madre mountain range that is good for climbing and nature trekking. Added attractions include Ditumabo and Cunayan Falls, Dibut and Dicasalarin Bays, Banyu Springs, Lamao Caves, and the Cemento Beach and Reef, which is known as the surfing center in the Philippines. Surfers from Europe, Japan and Australia come here to ride the giant waves that reach up to 14 feet high.

Like other provinces, there are also historical sights in Aurora such as the Quezon Memorial Park, Aurora Quezon Marker, Quezon’s Resthouse and the Baler Catholic Church, all located in the town of Baler.

Agriculture is the primary industry in the province and the major crops produced are coconut, rice and bananas.

One can reach the beautiful province of Aurora through Pantranco North Express Inc. that connects Baler to Manila.
