Pasig City has now become
one of the highly industrialized
cities in the metro.
Big companies and
organizations are setting up
their offices at Ortigas Center,
a fast growing district and one
of Ayala Center’s archrival.
Located
on the southeastern tip of the
Pasig River bordered by Quezon
City and Marikina on the north,
Cainta and Taytay on the east,
Mandaluyong City on the west and
Pateros, Taguig and Makati on
the north.
The rivers of Pasig and
Marikina dwell throughout the
city.

Antique
houses, buildings, churches and
museums are a few of Pasig’s
attractions.
The Immaculate Concepcion
was built in 1575; Bahay ng Tisa,
one of the oldest houses in the
country was built in 1850 and
Concepcion Mansion was built in
1937.
One
of the oldest towns founded by
the Spaniards in 1572.
Pasig has been set up as
an encomienda under the
authority and protection of the
Alcalde Mayor of Tondo.
Due to its strategic
location, the town has always
been in the middle of war and
conflicts.
Upon the arrival of the
American troops, the capital was
stationed under a military rule
that makes way for the creation
of a public government.
The
big blast of the city’s
economic progress started when
Asian Development Bank was
constructed 10 yrs. ago.
Since then, major
corporations, big lending and
financial institutions have
found their way to the
metropolis.
Some of the businesses
found around the area are RFM
Corporation, Honda Cars, Inc.,
LG Collins and some of the
country’s major corporations
like Nestle Phil., San Miguel
Corporation, MERALCO, Pure Foods
Corporation, and Jollibee Foods
Corporation.
