The hip-hop dance group Philippine Allstars has proven that their skill is world-class. The group of dancers started out as close friends from different backgrounds who decided to put their talents to use. They got together to join their very first competition, the 4th World Hip Hop Championships held in Los Angeles, California in 2005. Out of 26 teams, they came out of the contest at sixth place.

Philippine Allstars show off hip-hop and R&B styles that combines freestyle, pop, break dance, crump, old school and new school. Their combines skills are so good that they took home the gold medal from two competitions in 2006: the 2nd International Hip Hop Open D'Italia in Torino, Italy in June, and the 5th World Hip Hop Championships (Adult Division) in Redondo Beach, California in July 29, where they earned a standing ovation. They were also the recipients of the Team of the Year Award at the 1st VENT Annual Dance Awards Show in 2008.

The group is busy not only with dancing for the team, but also with dance workshops they offer from time to time. They are also preparing for a dance concert to be held on June 7, 2008 at the Irwin Theatre at Ateneo de Manila. Entitled "Choreographer’z Birth," it will feature the creative vision of the Philippine Allstars as well as some of the country's top urban choreographers: Hotlegs' Charles Thompson, Manoeuvres' James Gaddi and Bong Tan, XFX's Eauj Corpuz, Volume and Breakism's Vince Mendoza, and UPLB Street Jazz Dance Co.'s Thea Barraquio. Proceeds from the concert will help support the group in joining the 2008 World Hip Hop Championships to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
