16-year-old singing sensation Charice Pempengco has been taking the world by storm, and her latest accomplishment was a duet with world-class diva Celine Dion at the Madison Square Garden. A week after Charice performed Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" on the Oprah Winfrey show, the young singer was invited by Dion to sing with her in her concered called "Taking Chances World Tour."

“This young girl’s name is Charice. I’m so excited. She’s 16 years old and she’s from the Philippines. Let me tell you she has a voice that can literally blow the roof off Madison Square," said the Canadian star in her introduction of Charice. Dion went on to tell the audience about how the girl and her mother had to leave Charice's violent father and how prayers and Charice's God-given talent have helped them start over. "By such a fortunate chance people saw the show on Oprah and Oprah wanted to take her under her wing and David Foster joined them."

Dion then invited Charice to join her on stage, and after giving her wonderful words of encouragement, the pair went on to sing "Because You Loved Me" together. The spectacular performance garnered wild applause and a standing ovation as Dion praised Charice. "You did amazing, and the roof of the Madison (blew) up tonight!" raved Dion. "I love you and I can not wait to be with you to perform here for a whole concert."

With such praise from her very own idol, Charice certainly has that opportunity ahead of her!
