Another Pinoy has made it through the auditions on the UK-based television program "Britain's Got Talent." Charlie Green received three "yeas" from judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan during the live audition held at the Manchester Theatre. His audition piece "Summer Wind" by Frank Sinatra earned the 11-year old boy a standing ovation and praises from the judges.

"Charlie, you are fantastic. I think you are a little star. I really, really like you," said Cowell, who is also the show's producer. "I genuinely was not expecting to find someone like that. I thought it’s gonna be a disaster, it’s so changed. I’m absolutely thrilled."

The son of British Roger Green and Cebuana Cecilia Sumargo, Charlie started singing at the age of two as he entertained family and friends with his version of classic songs. He joined a talent show on the cruise ship Ocean Majesty when he was three and has performed on other ships after that.

In 2002, Charlie sang a medley at a show at the Royal Opera House in York. The following year, he opened the annual Black & White Minstrel Reunion and was invited back a year later and then again in 2007. He has also appeared with the City of Worcester Brass at the Guildhall in Worcester and has been a special guest for the last three years along with the Phoenix Brass Band at the the St. Georges Day Concert at the Holy Trinity Church in Old Hill, West Midlands. At the age of eight, he was invited to perform at the annual concert of The Not Forgotten Association for ex-servicemen at the St. James's Palace, and in 2006 he guested the Lady Ratling's annual variety show at the Kenneth More Theatre in Ilford, Essex.

At such a young age, the British-Filipino has participated in more performances than some twice his age are still aspiring to. This young lad certainly has talent, and we can expect him to go far on the British TV program.
