Bridget Hermano is one gifted individual who never fails acknowledge the source of her blessings. Inspired and motivated by God, the 19-year-old Filipina constantly strives to inspire hope and send positive messages through her music.
Born and raised in Seattle, Bridget has always loved music even as a child. She took voice lessons from Filipino composer Cecile Azarcon Inocentes for seven years. Inspired to better serve God, she also began singing i her local church. When she was in middle school, she pursued learning instruments like the piano, guitar and drums, all by herself. She eventually began writing her own music, developing a style all her own.
Composing music has driven Bridget to work even harder, and she started joining singing and songwriting contests. Among her achievements are the first prize in the Filipino Community's Fundrasier Asian American Idol in December 2004, and the Original Song Competition for CFC Youths National Conference in Maryland in 2003 and in California in 2004. she also took part in the Papuri Northwest CD Project in 2002 and 2003, opened for American Idol finalist Jasmine Trias at the University of Washington, and was recently a viewers choice finalist for Western Washington's Seattle's Stars competition.
To date, Bridget has written over 30 original songs. A full-time student, she also works as a self-employed voice instructor and a promotions intern at Seattle's local FM station KISS 106.1. Never one to forget where her blessings come from, she also actively serves as the Music Ministry head for Couples for Christ Youth. No matter where her music takes her, she never loses sight of her mission to live for God.
