Lica had an early start in music, joining the Adelea 2 Music Kids Academy of Geneva at the age of 5. She was often asked to perform for the school at occasions and festivals, her talents including dancing and acting.
Lica's breakthrough came in 2004, when she was invited to be one of the "Caribanakids" at the annual Carabina Festival in Crans-Celigny. She won over the audience as well as her fellow performers with her sweet voice.
During a vacation in the Philippines, she captivated audiences when she performed at a benefit concert for the street children of the Bantay Bata Kids 163 at Gaisano Mall in Davao City on August 9, 2004. She also appeared in SBD Jam and Halo-Halo Special, two popular shows in the city, and guested on radio programs.
Later that year, she was chosen to do back-up vocals on Swiss singer Sonia Grimm's Christmas album.
Lica was part of a string of events in Geneva celebrating the Philippine Independence Day in 2005. Among these were the show of Randy Santiago and Rachel Alejandro and the Philippine Community Independence Day Kermesse at the St. Nicolas de Flue Church.
Christmas that year presented her an even bigger break. She was invited to be one of the guest child singers in "Les coups de coeur d'Alain Morisod" which was shown on Televison Suisse Romande (TSR 1) on December 17. She also guested on "Rêves: A new musical Show for Christmas!," a production of Switzerland Television (TSR) and Foundation Little Dreams (LDF). During that show, Lica was chosen to be one of the ten children to become a Little Dream Foundation member.
2007 brought Lica even more activities. She was invited to the "Les coups de Coeur d'Alain Morisod" on May 19, where she sang "Prendre un enfant par la main" before the Swiss president Micheline Calmy-Rey. She was also invited to sing at various events, church activities and UN gatherings, including the annual United Nations Women's Guild bazaar.
Such is the talent of the young singer that we can only expect even more from her. With so much ahead of her, she can look forward to a bright and shining future.
